Smoking ban and hookahs
Are these places legally or illegal? yet to be found out.
With the smoking ban in England and Wales, on july 1st, there was a great fear which spelled the end of the cafe's which practiced the ancient habit of shisha. Everyone expected that Edgeware Rd. would practically close down. But, 5 months into the ban shisha did not go to ashes, instead there are hundreds of places to have a hookah and that these joints are increasingly popular with young Muslims - an alternative to the pub, a safe place and a shared space for people of all ages, races and religions to kick back and hang out. Which has the greatest effect on our health? Unanswered, as there hasn't been enough study or scientific prove on the effects of shisha.
